Cambridge Rallies In The Second Half To Beat Easton
The Easton Warriors got a big win on senior night last week over WiHi and they looked to carry that momentum against Cambridge, who is having a great season.
The Vikings would open the game up early on and to take a 6-0 lead over the Warriors after Tre Lake returned the kick-off all the way to the end zone. However, the Easton was not willing to give up, JoJo Marasco has been doing it all season long as he helped put the Warriors on the board with a run up the middle to take a 7-6 lead over the Vikings. Easton would not stop there, in the second quarter, TJ Nixon caught a touchdown pass to take a 14-6 lead over Cambridge, but that lead would not hold much longer. Nathaniel Lowe rallied for his offense to bring in a 42-yard touchdown and the Vikings added a 2-point conversion to tie the game up 14-14 in the second quarter.
The game would be tied 21-21 heading into halftime, and while Cambridge continued to add to their score – Easton was shut out in the second half of play. With a couple Tre Lake touchdowns, the Vikings avoided the upset on the road. Cambridge got the win over Easton, 41-21.
