Black Friday special with a twist

The Animal Welfare League of Queen Anne’s County is offering Black Friday adoption specials on all their animals from Friday until November 30th. The adoption fees at the center will be  free during this time. Usually, adoption fees run anywhere from $35 to $140 depending on the pet. However, Zappos is sponsoring the adoption fees the next few days in order to make it financially easier for people to adopt, but also allow the center to make money from the adoptions as well.

Patti O’Neil an Animal Caretaker at the center says, “Sponsoring the adoption fee is enormous because it could be the only thing standing between an adopter and their pet , or the pet that they want.”

The center currently has 150 cats and 26 dogs up for adoption. Also,  during the month of December the Animal Welfare League in Queen Anne’s will be continuing their own free adoption promotion for their cats and dogs.
