Becky Long appears in Wicomico County Circuit Court

Forty- four year old Becky Long appeared in the Wicomico County Circuit Court on Friday. 

Long faces fourteen charges, including second degree murder for the death of sixty-eight-year-old Mary Ellen Bonniwell of Fruitland

Long was Bonniwell’s caregiver. She was arrested after authorities found Bonniwell dead in her home slumped over on a portable toilet.

She reportedly had scratch marks on her neck, bruises, and a broken bone in her neck. Today in court, the judge granted a request for a continuance on Long’s criminal motions hearing.

The hearing is now set for December 4th. The state also gave Long a plea offer on Wednesday that she and her defense are currently considering.
