ATV overturned; man taken to hospital

A 25-year-old man was taken to the hospital after his ATV overturned, according to fire department officials.

An official from the Showell Volunteer Fire Department says the man was riding his four-wheeler on Rotherwood Lane around 4:40 p.m. Sunday when he tried jump a ditch.

The ATV apparently overturned as a result.

Fire officials say the man was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury for reported neck and back pains.

As of 5:30 p.m., crews had reportedly cleared the scene.
