Atlantic General holds proclamation for “Giving Tuesday”

The giving season is here. Officials at Atlantic General officially proclaimed next Tuesday, “Giving Tuesday.”
The day is not about buying gifts. Giving Tuesday is celebrated globally to reinforce the importance of philanthropic efforts to make positive changes in communities.
Atlantic General is doing this through their brick campaign. With a one-hundred dollar donation, folks can buy bricks for the hospital’s entry to can be engraved with a personal message.
We’re told all the money goes to advancing the health of their residents. Officials say you don’t have to give to that cause, just to something positive.
Todd Ferrante, the chairman of the Atlantic General Hospital foundation says, “This is about reaching out to someone, doing something special, like racking a neighbor’s yard for elderly people who can’t do it. Giving Tuesday is about giving not humanity.”
