2015 Governor’s Challenge Media Day- Girls Division

Girls Division:

Mardela- The Warriors lose 2,000 point scorer DeMyra Selby and athletic big Dymond Trader, but get Taylor Ross back, one of the best scoring guards in the conference. If Mardela can get the supporting cast to be at their best all year long, expect Mardela to challenge to go even futher than last year.

Parkside- Now in his 20th season, Coach Warren White brings experience to a team that finished right in the middle of the pack of the Bayside. The Rams are hoping for big things with all but one starter back this season.

Pocomoke- Coach Gail Gladding loses one senior from a team who won a regional title over Mardela just last season. The team will look to go thru reigning conference player of the year Dynaisha Christian to lead them back to states again this season.

Wicomico- Wi-Hi returns a host of players after losing just one senior a season ago. The name to look for here is senior guard Lakiah Wright, who can score, dish, and defend. The Indians go into 2015-16 under the radar, but a dark horse to challenge in the south.
