Wi-Hi Picks Up 1st Win, Rolls Washington

The Wicomico High School football team picked up their first win of the year Monday night when they hit the road and topped Washington 46-0. The win improves the Indians to 1-5, while the loss drops the Jaguars to 1-5.
The Indians would take a quick lead after Jason Patterson found Nicholas who took it 45 yards to the house for the score. Shortly after that, they made it 14-0 after Patterson found Barry Gaines Jr. for a 40 yard score. After the Tribe came up with an interception, Nate Gaines would run in a short touchdown run to push the lead to 3 scores. JoJo Brittingham would then get his first score of the game in the second quarter as the rout was on. Washington continued to battle and came up with a few nice plays defensively including a fumble recovery by Kionte Nutter, but they could never find the endzone for a score.
Wi-Hi returns to work Friday when they host Snow Hill, while Washington travels to Arcadia Friday night.
