Three teens are awaiting sentencing, after being convicted for their involvement in the theft of a gun, and a violent home invasion.

On Wednesday, 19-year-old Malik Dajour Moore was convicted by a Wicomico County Jury, of first degree burglary, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of false imprisonment, conspiracy-first degree burglary, two counts of conspiracy-armed robbery, two counts of theft $1000-$10,000, and theft under $1,000.

The charges stem from an investigation dating back to April 23, 2015. Moore and his accomplices, 19-year-old Darrell Dixon and 16-year-old Nahmir Tareek Bundy, were riding bikes on Virginia Avenue, when they found a .22 caliber rifle that was stored in an unlocked truck toolbox, and stole it. They then later started checking cars for valuables on Ridge Road, and while in the driveway of one of the homes, they noticed X-box games inside. The three, armed with the .22, then went into the home through a window, and started stuffing backpacks with items from the house, before one of the men accosted the home’s occupants in their bed.

Wicomico County State’s Attorney Matt Maciarello tells 47 ABC, “This was an extremely violent, extremely egregious, and we don’t stand for that in this county.”

Bundy held one of the occupants at gunpoint in the living room, while the other two kept filling backpacks with belongings. Later that day, Salisbury Police searched a home on Delaware Avenue in connection to the case, and found Bundy in the home’s basement, with several of the items stolen from the residents, while Dixon and Moore were seen outside of the house, by police just before they made entry into the house.

On September 1, Dixon pleaded guilty to conspiracy-home invasion, first degree assault and firearm use during a crime of violence. Two days later, Bundy pleaded guilty to burglary 1st degree, two counts of armed robbery, and use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence.

All three men are still awaiting sentencing, Bundy is scheduled for October, 15, and will be sentenced as an adult. Dixon is scheduled for November 2. Moore’s sentencing hasn’t been scheduled yet.

“These crimes will be vigorously prosecuted if they’re caught.”, Said Maciarello.
