The Sheriff’s Office in Queen Anne’s County is asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects in a late night robbery.
According to reports, Friendly’s Food Mart on Main Street in Stevensville, was held up at gunpoint by two individuals, late Monday night around 11:40 PM. The suspects reportedly fled the location in a vehicle which was later located in the Kent Narrows area on fire.
Investigators say, it is believed the suspects likely fled in another vehicle. No injuries were reported.
Suspect one is described as a man last seen wearing a black ski mask, black sweatshirt, blue jeans, black gloves, and black shoes. He reportedly pulled out a black handgun, and demanded money from the cashier.
Police say they don’t have a description for suspect two, but the vehicle they reportedly fled in was a gold extended cab Toyota pick-up truck that was heavily damaged after it was found on fire on Wharf Road in Kent Narrows. The plates that were on the truck were reportedly stolen. Investigators say they are still working on determining who owned the truck.
Anyone who may have observed any suspicious persons or activity in the area is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 410-758-0770.
