UPDATE: Sisters held without bond in Pocomoke homicide

Latoya Johnson, 30, of Salisbury, Md. and Kaniesha Johnson, 22, of Pocomoke City, Md.

State Police say they have made a second arrest in connection with the stabbing death of a Pocomoke man on Monday.

Maryland State Police say they arrested 30-year-old Latoya Johnson at her Dennis Street home in Salisbury. Johnson is charged with first degree assault and accessory after the fact of murder. The charges stem from a Monday afternoon incident.

According to the report, on Monday around 1:00 PM, 25-year-old Derrick Collick, was in the Duck Inn in Pocomoke, when he left the store to help break up the domestic dispute that has going on at a gas pump. When Officers responded to a 911 call for the domestic dispute, they found Collick at the pump with an apparent stab wound to his upper body. He was then rushed to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

Latoya Johnson’s sister, 22-year-old Kaniesha Johnson, was arrested at a home in Hebron on Monday evening. She is charged with first and second degree murder. When she was arrested, Keniesha Johnson reportedly had injuries that appeared to be sustained during the dispute at the convenient store. She was taken to PRMC, before being turned over to the Wicomico County Detention Center.

According to authorities in Worcester County, both women are being held without bond.

In an initial report from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, it was stated that three people were wanted for questioning, including both Johnsons, however Maryland State Police say they have no information about a third person being wanted for the incident.
