UPDATE: North Wing of Legislative Hall in Dover damages by fire

The Dover Fire Department reported to a fire at Legislative Hall on Wednesday afternoon.

According to reports, the fire happened on the third floor of the building. The call reportedly came in just after 2:15 PM. Dover Fire Department responded, with assistance from Little Creek, Camden, and Magnolia. Cheswold reportedly also lent a hand by covering Station 2 and Bowers covered Station 1 for some time.

No word yet on what caused the blaze. The Dover Fire Marshal’s Office is reportedly investigating, but is being assisted by Capitol Police and Facilities Management.  The State Fire Marshal’s Office was also initially on scene.

Dover fire officials tell 47 ABC that no injuries have reported at this time and everyone was evacuated safely. Damage is reportedly on the North Wing of the structure, with all three floors in that area damaged.
