Two Seaford residents arrested on drug charges in Dorchester Co.

Two Delaware residents have been arrested on heroin distribution charges, in Dorchester County.

On Thursday, the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office says the Dorchester County Narcotics Task Force were investigating the illegal distribution of heroin in the county, when they got word of a possible deal in the Reliance area of eastern Dorchester County.

Investigators say they made their way to the scene, they say they surveilled the scene, and then watched the transaction take place. The two suspects were reportedly identified as 36-year-old Theressa S. Clanton, and 30-year-old Jamil A. Brown, both of Seaford, Delaware.

The Task Force says they seized a total of 93 bags of heroin, totaling 29.7 grams, along with 3.5 grams of cocaine, 3.5 grams of marijuana and $690 in cash.

Clanton was charged with importation of heroin more than 4 grams, distribution of heroin, possession of heroin a large amount, possession of heroin and possession of CDS paraphernalia, while Brown was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

Each are being held on bond at the Dorchester County Detention Center, Clanton on $185,000, and Brown on $150,000.
