Troopers investigating fatal crash near Georgetown

Members of the Delaware State Police say they are currently on the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash north of Georgetown.

Police say the crash happened around 9:00 P.M. on Wilson Road at Downs Road, and involved a tractor trailer and a pickup truck.

According to reports, one person has died while another was transported to Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital.

Police say Wilson Road is currently closed at Downs Road.  Commuters are advised to seek alternate routes of travel.
