Third Friday means dollar signs for businesses

Third Friday has become a calendar staple in Salisbury  and businesses say the influx of people has led to more revenue.

According to Third Friday organizer, Jamie Heater, the event is an economic development engine  and source of foot traffic for the downtown area.    

Downtown business owners, such as Maya Bella’s Pizzeria, say Third Friday is huge money maker for them  and other businesses on the plaza.

“The third Friday for sure is the busiest, our busiest day of the month, it brings in far more revenue than the other days which we enjoy,” says Maya Bella’s Pizzeria owner Matthew Thompsen. “We just get to serve so many people that we would have never served without third Friday.”

Not only does Third Friday provide a boost for businesses, it also serves as display for local arts.    

This upcoming Third Friday,  47 ABC will be out there as well, with cutouts from some of your favorite ABC shows.
