Sussex Central rebounds to down Polytech

The Sussex Central Golden Knights improved to 4-4 on the season, defeating Polytech 42-7 on Friday night in Georgetown.

Chase Wells opened up the game with a 40-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Dorman to get the Knights on the board. After a Polytech punt, Central RB Ki’Ante Sturgis took a handoff 44 yards to the house. His backfield mate Kendrique Nocks would go 52 yards to the endzone on SC’s next drive, to bring the score to 21-0 after the first quarter. The Knights would march on to score 21 more points, allowing 7, en route to the win.

Central will now go on to travel to Dover next week, while Polytech (0-8) goes on to host Caesar Rodney.
