SU Volleyball Spikes Penn St.-Harrisburg

The Salisbury University volleyball team picked up yet another Capital Athletic Conference win Wednesday night when they defeated Penn St.-Harrisburg 3-0. The win improves the Sea Gulls to 18-7 on the year.

Salisbury would just out to a quick lead and coast in the first set, before narrowly pulling out a win in the second. The Gulls then closed the 3rd set for the sweep. A big night defensively for Salisbury as they finished with 14 blocks in the game, led by Colleen White’s 4. SU also finished with 14 aces in the game, as their aggressive serves forced the Nittany Lions out of system all night long. Shannon Russell would finished with a team high 14 points on the night, recording 10 kills and 3 aces.

Salisbury University returns to work Saturday when they take on Frostburg St.
