Smyrna posts statement win over Sussex Tech

Junior quarterback Nolan Henderson threw for over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns as Smyrna delivered Sussex Tech their first loss of the season in a 42-0 drubbing at Charles V. Williams Stadium in Smyrna.

Smyrna sophomore Will Knignt got the night sparked for the Eagles, going 72 yards for the first of his two touchdowns of the game. Donte Ritchie, Charlie Taylor (2), and Brandon Bishop all had receiving touchdowns on the night. The Eagles led 22-0 at the half and cruised to a 42-0 final, including a couple of great goal line stands for the defense.

Smyrna host Sussex Central (3-3) next Friday, while Sussex Tech travels to take on winless Polytech.
