Smyrna Football Stay’s Hot, Tops Central

The Smyrna football team picked up another Henlopen North win Friday night when they topped Sussex Central 58-21. The win improves the Eagles to 6-1, while the loss drops the Golden Knights to 3-4.
The Eagles would jump out to a quick lead after Nolan Henderson would find Donte Ritchie from 13 yards out. Shortly after that, they would push their lead to 14-0 after Henderson would call his own number, and scramble up the middle for a score from 9 yards out. Will Knight would then get into the mix, as he broke a touchdown run from 11 yards out. Kiante Sturgies then finally got the Golden Knights on track, as he would bounce a touchdown run to the outside and find the endzone. Knight would continue to roll for Smyrna though, as he went on to add 4 more scores to close out the game.
Smyrna returns to work Friday when they travel to Caesar Rodney, while Sussex Central host Polytech next Friday.
