Salisbury sex offender charged for failing to register

A Salisbury sex offender has been charged, after he apparently moved, but didn’t notify authorities.
The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office says on September 24, Deputies arrested 32-year-old Edmond Urie, for failure to register as a sex offender as required. An investigation reportedly showed that Urie had moved from his listed Salisbury address, to another location, without notifying the Sheriff’s Office.
The investigating Deputy reportedly found where Urie had moved it, and confirmed that he did so, without making proper notification. Sex Offenders are required to register his address with the Sheriff’s Office, and check in every 30 days.
Urie’s sex offender status dates back to a 2004 conviction. Following his arrest, Urie was taken to an initial appearence, where he was ordered to be held without bond at the Wicomico County Detention Center.
