Salisbury pursuing downtown ambassador program

The City of Salisbury is pursuing a grant for a downtown ambassador’s program. According to city officials, the grant is through the Department of Housing and Community Development under their main street improvement program.

The city is looking to hire four ambassadors that would essentially become the quote “friendly faces of downtown Salisbury.”

They would show visitors around to local restaurants, promote events, and would provide information about the city.

Apparently, there are similar programs in Berlin and Baltimore. If approved for the grant, Salisbury is looking to implement the program in May.
