Parkside Boys Soccer Top Wi-Hi, Advance In States

The Parkside boys soccer team topped Wi-Hi 6-0 at home Friday afternoon to advance in the state tournament. The Rams will now prepare to travel to play 2nd seeded Easton on Tuesday.

The Rams offense was clicking early. After scoring twice in the games first 10 minutes, they would push the lead to 3-0 after Jarod Ramses would find Noah O’Barsky in the box, and he would head it home. The Rams would take a 3-0 lead into the break, and would have been more if not for some incredible saves form the Tribes keeper Luke Edson. But the Rams just kept on coming. In the second half, they would make it 4-0 after Ramses again found O’Barsky in the top of the box. He would settle the pass, turn and fire near post for the finish. Then Parkside would put the game away after a beautiful goal from beyond the 20 by Connor Houtman, before adding the final score of the game.
