Officials say a fire broke out Tuesday morning in a peanut hopper at the Barcelona Nut Company in the 500 block of South Fulton Avenue.

Fire officials say firefighters found smoke coming from the third floor and three people were taken to hospitals with injuries that aren’t thought to be life-threatening. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
