North Caroline Stays Perfect, Downs Kent County

The North Caroline football team stayed perfect on the year when they took on Kent County Thursday night and came away with a 52-34 win. The win improves the Bulldogs to 7-0, while the loss drops the Trojans to 4-3.

The Bulldogs opened the game and marched down the field where their dynamic sophomore Rodney Thomas would cap of a drive with a long touchdown run. The Trojans would have an answer though, as  they would get a rushing touchdown from their big full back. Thomas then would really find his groove, picking up 2 more rushing touchdowns in the half, while David Bailey would add 2 scores himself, and another rushing touchdown from Kenny Jackson. Stevie Currian would do all he could for a shorthanded Kent County squad, who was out their best player Marquan Greene who was suspended for the game. The senior quarterback finished with 3 passing touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough.

Kent County returns to action next Friday when they travel to play at Snow Hill, while North Caroline returns to work Friday when they travel to play at James M. Bennett.
