New law makes naloxone access easier

A new law that went into affect last week in Maryland is now making it easier for people to get access to life saving overdose reversal drug, Naloxone.
Doctors at local health departments around the state can now write a blanket prescription that covers anyone who has been trained to administer the drug.
All that trained individual has to do is present the card they receive after their training at the pharmacy to be able to purchase the drug.
