More money granted to phase one of the salisbury skate park

Voted at the Salisbury City Council meeting last night was the grant of more money towards phase one of the Salisbury Skate park for an important safety measure.

The money will go to building a fence around the skate park in order to prevent skaters who may lose control, from going out in to the street.

The original money allotted for the fence was about five thousand dollars. Reports say a new estimate came in about twice that amount. Last night, the city council approved that an extra five thousand dollars comes out of the city’s surplus.

That money was appropriated immediately.

The project is expected to be completed by early next month with weather permitting.
