Monday Memo – October 5, 2015
MONDAY MEMO
TO: ALL STAFF
FROM: KATHLEEN
DATE: 5 OCTOBER 2015
UPDATE ON LOBBY RENOVATIONS
Going, going, gone….the old furniture, the wooden railing, the metal door jamb and the glass doors to the main office area! All that remains this morning is the rubble from the destruction part of the project and three pieces of unclaimed furniture. Tomorrow will be a Dumpster Day and, then, that will all be gone as well! Unfortunately, our flooring guy didn’t get out with the stain to provide us with a color sample last week, so we may just do without that benefit. Going forward this week, we will continue to move items out of the front offices and Conference Room. Day laborers will come on Thursday to assist with moving the heavier pieces and on Friday the preparation and installation of the new flooring will begin. Changes of note include:

When you come to work Friday morning, there will be no building access via the Camden Street employee entrance. You will need to use the Plaza entrance. You can get to the Plaza via walkways through the Gateway or Gallery buildings (the ones on either side of the Station with the overhangs). The doors of these buildings are locked from around 8PM until 8AM so, if you are coming and going during those times, you will probably have to walk around the block. Work on the floor is expected to start around 7AM Friday and may continue until 8 or 9PM night. They anticipate the same schedule for Saturday and Sunday. By Monday morning, the floor should be ready to be walked on.
- Between now and Thursday COB, Lindsy will make arrangements to accommodate time card employees with instructions for how to fill them out manually for Friday through Sunday.
- Sarah will coordinate alternate storing of camera equipment for Friday through Sunday.
- The bulletin board in the Lobby will be repurposed elsewhere in the Station. The official downstairs bulletin board has been relocated to a spot directly across from the time card machine at the employee entrance.
ATTENTION ALL COFFEE DRINKERS: We checked with the cashiers at WAWA and they tell us that until 25 October any size coffee will continue to be one dollar plus tax.
