Local from Hebron has concerns of potential medical marijuana cultivation site in Hebron

If BioCannatix is approved for a license they are interested in a piece of land in Hebron to build their cultivation site.

Before of BioCannatix gave a tour of the land piece where their potential facility  will be located, they reached out to Fred Martin, a community member in Hebron  to address his questions and concerns of the potential facility.

“How the building will  be built, and the scent, and this is zone agriculture. We gotta get new zoning for our community if you’re going to produce. Everyone out here is on well water. I’m not sure how that would effect our infrastructure,” said Fred Martin Jr.

Jamila and Robert told Martin the scent will not be a problem. The potential facility will be built deep into the piece of land where a forest is now located. They also said that crimes should not be an issue since they plan on having security to protect their facility. In addition, their should not be any problems with busy roads because it will not be a store front and only employees will be allowed in the facility. As far as the well water, BioCannatix said it will not impact Hebron’s infrastructure.

Martin is also helping BioCannatix  plan a town hall meeting for those interested in learning more about the company at the Elks Lodge.

The owners of BioCannatix  will also be participating in a town hall meeting of their own on Saturday, October 17th at 7PM  a the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department at 7 PM. They want to hear community members concerns of the cultivation site and give them an opportunity to ask questions of the company.
