Indians overcome sluggish game to defeat Lake

The Indian River boys’ soccer team overcame an overall sluggish performance, to defeat Lake Forest 5-1 on Thursday afternoon.

McClain Smith, Oscar Cruz, Mikie Mochiam, Johan De Jesus Cordoba, and Cuauhutemoc Macedo all had goals for the Indians in the win, while Anthony Oviedo scored the lone goal for Lake. Spartans goalie Brock Beyer collected a game-high 17 saves.

IR is back home Friday, where they host Worcester Prep, while Lake Forest visits Polytech next Tuesday.
