Indian River Football Edges Milford

The Indian River football team gutted out a much needed Henlopen South win Friday night when they topped Milford 22-18. The win improves the Indians to 3-3, while the loss drops the Buccaneers to 4-2.

The Indians would dominate the first half, but be unable to capitalize with point and found themselves up just 7-6 at half. Milford would then be able to take the lead late thanks to Gerald Foreman who scored a touchdown late. But the Indians went back to George Martin who would come through with the go-ahead score with under 4 minutes to go, and that would be the difference.

Milford returns to work next Friday when they travel to Laurel, while Indian River travels to Woodbridge on Friday.
