Herr’s recalls sour cream and onion chips for mislabeling

A type of potato chip has been pulled from store shelves, after they were incorrectly labeled.

Giant Food says Herr’s Foods, Inc. has recalled Herr’s Sour Cream and Onion Potato Chips because the bags were labeled “Gluten Free,” even though they apparently aren’t. The chips are reportedly safe to eat for those without a gluten allergy or intolerance.

The following products are included in this recall:
· Herr’s Sour Cream and Onion Potato Chip, 1.875 oz., UPC 7260000061, with a product code of 122

Giant says there haven’t been any reports of illness at this time. Customers who have bought the product should throw away any unused portions, and bring the original purchase receipt into the store for a full refund.
