Harrington man behind bars after traffic stop

A Harrington man is behind bars, after Police say he was found to have a suspended license, and liquor in his vehicle, during a traffic stop.
Harrington Police say on October 2, an Officer stopped 20-yea-rold Jermere Reid, for a traffic violation on South DuPont Highway. During the stop, Police say a computer check showed Reid had a suspended driver’s license, along with an active capias out of Justice of the Peace Court 6 and Kent County Family Court.
Reid was then arrested without incident. Police say they then searched the vehicle, and found alcohol inside. He was then taken to the Harrington Police Department, where he was given a criminal summons for underage possession of alcohol.
Reid was then arraigned for his capias. He was then ordered to be held on a $510 secured bond at the Sussex Correctional Institute.
