Four searches, eight arrested following drug investigation in Milford

Milford Police say they have wrapped up a three month long drug investigation with the search of several homes, and the arrest of eight Milford residents.
Milford Police say on Thursday, with the help of the Delaware State Police, Kent County Probation and Parole, Dover Police, Smyrna Police STAR Team, Delmar Police, Drug Enforcement Agency, Ocean View Police, and Georgetown Police, they searched four homes, on North DuPont Highway, Truitt Avenue, North Street, and Southeast 2nd Street.
Police say during the searches they found heroin, marijuana, handgun ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and an undisclosed amount of cash. The following eight people were taken into custody, and charged in the investigation.
Lamar M. Rufus, 28 of Milford, was charged with possession with the intent to deliver heroin, drug dealing, possession of marijuana, conspiracy 3rd degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rufus was arraigned at JP Court #2, where bail was set at $21,300. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution and is scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing at Kent County Court of Common Pleas later this month.
Alece A. Smith, 25 of Milford, was charged with possession of marijuana, conspiracy 3rd. and possession of drug paraphernalia. Smith was arraigned at JP Court #2 and released on $1,300 unsecured.
Samir M. Baker, 22 of Milford, was wanted by both Kent County Family Court and Court of Common Pleas, as well as Sussex County Court of Common Pleas. Baker was also charged with possession with the intent to deliver heroin, drug dealing, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Baker was arraigned at JP Court #2, where bail was set at $10,200 secured. Rufus was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution and is scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing at Kent County Court of Common Pleas later this month.
Eric L. Bennett, 33 of Milford, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and released after being issued a criminal summons.
Samantha L. Honaker, 39 of Milford, was wanted for failure to report to a correctional facility, in which she was committed to SCI following an arraignment at JP Court #2. Honaker was also charged with criminal impersonation and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Honaker was issued a criminal summons for those charges.
Julie Connelly, 25 of Milford, was charged with hindering prosecution. She was arraigned at JP Court #2 and released on $750 unsecured.
Lakesha Bruister, 25 of Milford, was wanted by Kent County Court of Common Pleas. She was arraigned at JP Court #2 and committed to SCI on $800 secured.
Bucky T. Sehn, 34 of Milford, was wanted by Kent County Court of Common Pleas. Sehn was arraigned at JP Court #2, where bail was set at $250 secured. Sehn posted bail and was released.
