Easton residents reportedly wake to home being burglarized, one arrested

An Easton woman is facing burglary charges, after Police say she broke into a home, while the occupants were asleep.

Easton Police say on Sunday, residents of a home in the Waylands Development, awoke to noises inside of their house, and found 20-year-old Jodie Blunt inside. The occupants then contact Police, who later found that Blunt was in possession of several items from the home, belonging to the occupants.

She was then taken into custody, and charged with burglary in the 1st degree, burglary in the 4th degree, theft under $1000 value, malicious destruction of property under $1000 value and disturbing the peace. Blunt was later seen by a a Talbot County. Commissioner, who ordered her to be held on a temporary commitment, pending a hearing.
