Easton man accused of assaulting business associate

A Federalsburg man is facing charges, after Police say he assaulted someone over a business arrangement.

Easton Police say on Thursday, Officers served a criminal summons on 32-year-old Matthew Riddleberger, charging him with one count of assault second degree.

Police say they charges were applied for after an October 13 incident, where Riddleberger went to the victim’s home on Centreville Road, and started arguing about a business matter. According to the report, the argument turned physical, during which Riddleberger assaulted the victim.

The victim contacted Police, who then filed for charges. Riddleberger reportedly signed for his copy of the summons, and is now awaiting trial.
