Earth science week

Earth Science Week kicked off Sunday across, well, the earth.

This years theme is Visualizing Earth Systems. Visualizing them, can help us see  and understand the many ways scientist monitor and represent information about the land, water, air and living things around us.

In our neck of the woods, one local entity that spends a lot of time looking down on Earth is getting involved, NASA at Wallops Island.    

All week they’ll be putting on events at their Visitor Center. The events will change daily, so no two visits will be alike.    

The best part  admission is free.
