Dover traffic stop leads to gun charges for Felton man

A traffic stop in Dover, has led to the arrest of a wanted Felton man on gun charges.
Dover Police say on Tuesday around 1:30 PM, Officers, along with Delaware Probation and Parole, pulled over a blue Chevrolet Tahoe in the area of South DuPont Highway and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, for a fake license plate. During the stop, Officers say they spoke with the driver, 25-year-old Michael Neal, who gave them two different fake names. Once his real name was revealed, Police say they found that Neal was wanted on numerous capias.
He was taken into custody, during which 3.4 grams of marijuana and two live 9mm ammunition rounds were found on him. Police say they then searched a local hotel room where Neal was staying, and found a Walther P38 9mm handgun, loaded with additional ammunition of the same make from the traffic stop.
Neal was charged with possession of a firearm by person convicted of 2 prior felonies, possession of ammunition by person prohibited, possession of a firearm with obliterated serial number, criminal impersonation, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia. He is now being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $25,000 cash bond.
