Dover police search for man for gun possession violation

Police in Dover are searching for Keontre Hynson, following an incident on Friday, October 23, 2015.

Members of the Dover Police Department Drugs, Vice and Organized Crime Unit worked in conjunction with the Delaware State Police, and executed search warrants following a drug and firearm investigation.

Police say Akil Garrett, 41, was found in one of the residents police searched, where officers also found a small amount of crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.

During the search, officers located a .32 caliber Taurus handgun belonging to Hynson. Police say Hynson is now wanted for Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited and Possession of Ammunition by Person Prohibited.

Police also searched another residence and found Deangelo Evans, 28, along with firearms and ammunition. Police say one of the seized firearms belongs to another person, but is being investigated at this time.

Garrett was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
