Delaware Community Foundation launches new website

We’re surrounded by data. The information helps to drive your phone calls, your cars, and the future.
However, in a flurry of stats, getting it organized in one place is imperative. That’s why the Delaware Community Foundation has started an indicator project through a website that launched on Monday called Delawarefocus.org.
Indicators are data points on a variety topics, like children living in poverty and cancer mortality. Delawarefocus.org is the state’s first ever comprehensive, statewide community indicator project. Officials say the goal of this grant funded website is to be a one stop shop for data about anything and all things Delaware.
Marilyn Hayward, the chair of the Board of Trustees for the Delaware Community Foundation says, “We’ve known for a long time that there is information all over the place. The universities have information, the government agencies have information, and this is a very good way to pull it all together.”
Officials say the information provided through Delawarefocus.org could make a major impact on communities in the state.
