Cost savings of catching fugitives

Considering the fact that there are currently 1,680 outstanding arrest warrants in Wicomico County, Maryland, Lt. Tim Robinson with the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office says fugitive apprehension seems like a never-ending job for law enforcement.

Robinson says finding and arresting suspects who are on the run doesn’t just mean a cash reward for tipsters, it can also save the entire community a lot of money and resources, “the man hours that we spend going to addresses, going to check…it’s tremendous.”

This is why 47 ABC is once again working with the sheriff’s office to profile those individuals on this list that law enforcement considers the most wanted of the group. “It’s a huge asset,” says Robinson, “when people can call us up and tell us where we can find them. It speeds the process up dramatically.”
