Central celebrates homecoming with thumping of Cape

The Sussex Central Golden Knights trounced the Cape Henlopen Vikings, 34-7, on homecoming Saturday afternoon at the “Castle” in Georgetown.

Ki’Ante Sturgis accounted for nearly 250 yards and 3 scores on the ground from 66, 79, and 80 yards out. The Knights took a 28-7 lead into halftime and shutout the Vikings in the second half.

Central will travel to Caesar Rodney next weekend to take on a reeling Riders squad, while Cape hosts Dover.
