Cambridge SD Roll Washington, Claim Bayside 1A Title

The Cambridge SD football team hit the road Friday night and defeated Washington 48-13. The win improves the Vikings to 6-2 on the year, while the loss drops the Jaguars to 1-7.
The Vikings would find themselves in a bit of a battle through the 1st quarter, and take a 14-0 lead into the second. There, Cambridge would blow the game wide open. Tre Lake would break a 45 yard touchdown run down the left side line for a score to get it started. Then on the Jaguars ensuing possession, Lake would come up with an interception, and take it 70 yards back for a touchdown. Then after another Lake touchdown run, Washington would finally get on the board. Just before half, Juluis White would step up in the pocket, and air a deep touchdown pass from mid field to Tyler Paulson. But the Vikings weren’t going to let up. On their first possession of the second half, Cambridge would add another touchdown after Nathaniel Lowe dropped back to pass and found Dre Greene for the score. They would go on to close it out from there.
Cambridge returns to action next Friday when they host Snow Hill, while Washington travels to Colonel Richardson next Friday.
