Cambridge man behind bars after reported assault with butcher knife

A Cambridge man was arrested on Monday, after Police say he chased some with a knife.
Cambridge Police say Officers responded to reports of a fight at a home on High Street. When they arrived, they found 51-year-old Anthony Parker, along with the victim. According to the report, Parker had something in his hand, concealed in front of him, and he wouldn’t show it, even after Officers asked several times.
Police say Parker ran into a small enclosed porch area, where he was eventually detained. Officers say they found a butcher knife on the ground during the arrest. The investigation showed that Parker was assaulting the victim, before he grabbed the knife, and started chasing witnesses who are family members of the victim.
After his arrest, Parker was charged with three counts of first degree assault, second degree assault, wear and carry dangerous weapon, and three counts reckless endangerment. Parker is now behind bars at the Dorchester County Detention Center on a Temporary Commitment.
