Bennett Girls Soccer Top Wi-Hi

The James M. Bennett girls soccer team picked up another conference win Monday afternoon when they defeated Wicomico High School 5-0. The win improves the Clippers to 7-2, while the loss drops the Indians to 0-8.
Bennett would jump out to a quick lead, scoring their first goal just 5 minutes into the game. WiHi would tighten up their defense from there til the Clippers were finally able to make it 2-0 after a beautiful move from the right side by Brittany Broadman, who would get into the box and finish. Bennett would take a 2-0 lead into the half though after Anna Waggoner would come up with several saves for the Tribe to help keep her team in it. The Clippers began to pull away the second half though, after Boardman would find Annabel Hofmann with a perfect cross, that she would put home. Then Broadman would add to her goal total off a perfect corner kick, that she curved inside the far post. Bennett would add 1 final goal after that to put the game away.
Bennett returns to work Wednesday when they travel to North Caroline, while Wi-Hi returns to work Wednesday when they travel to play at Kent Island.
