Back to the Future

the day marty mcfly and doc brown traveled to– from 19-85- in the second film of their world famous trilogy. and– to mark the occasion– what is now hill valley, delaware – after the town’s mayor changed the name from georgetown today — is going back to the future. here’s 47 abc’s jobina fortson. well guys i did my best to put my marty mcfly outfit together but there are so people here hat have really knocked my socks off. look at this! this is amazing! what is your favorite part about back to the future? i like when the go back in time what about you? i like the whole concept of the movie. and you? i see you have your own little delorean here. yes i love all of it. and you? my favorite part of the movie is when the lightning hits the clock tower and then they go to the future. great guys. and now he has this little delorean but there’s a big one right behind me here. it’s scott mcmullen’s and he drove all the way down from pennsylvania to bring his car from the event. scott tell us a little about your vehicle. well we love it. i’ve had it for twelve years. i raised my kids in it. we take it all around and it’s been a blast to have it. now have you done any time travel in your car? yes how did you do that? i travel forward once every 24 hours. very clever scott. well folks there’s still plenty of time to get down here. there’s going to be a reenactment of that iconic scene from the movie when the lightening hits the court house. and that all happens at six o’clock back to you guys. alright thanks jobina. there will also be a screening of back to the future part one– at six- thirty in the back of georgetown’s old court house. and– although this is a free event — town officials will be accepting donations — to repair georgetown’s clock tower. which we at 47 abc think is a pretty cool coincidence — since the broken clock tower in the fictional town of hill valley — is a central theme in all three films. coming up – we’ll have the details on how maryland is looking to help small
