70-year-old Hurlock woman behind bars on drug charges

A 70-year-old Hurlock woman is facing drug charges, after Police say they found almost a dozen marijuana plants at her home.

The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office says on Monday, the Dorchester County Narcotics Task Fore arrested Mary Luch Hurst, after Deputies found 11 marijuana plants, 15.6 grams of marijuana, a .22 caliber revolver, and a 410 gauge shotgun at her Suicide Bridge Road home.

Hurst was charged with possession of marijuana, manufacturing marijuana, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm while involved in a drug trafficking crime. She is now being held on a $30,000 bond.

The Dorchester County Narcotics Task Force is reportedly made up of Officers from the Maryland State Police, Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, Cambridge Police, and the Hurlock Police, while supported by the Dorchester County State’s Attorney.
