$1.5 million in repairs for Legislative Hall

$1.5 million the estimated cost of damages from the October 7th fire at Legislative Hall in Dover.

That hefty price tag is covering things like a thorough cleaning of all the smoke and fire damaged areas, the reconstruction of office space, and wiring and cable replacements, just to name a few.

The state is self-insured so funding for the repairs will be provided through the self-insurance fund. The building will officially reopen to the public on Friday, November 6th. However, budget hearings will start Monday, November 2nd and members of the public are invited to attend.
