Woodbridge begins season with shutout over Broadwater (Va.)

The Woodbridge Blue Raiders got their season off to a hot start, defeating Broadwater (Va.) 46-0 in their 2015 home opener.

Richard Massey scored the first touchdown on the season for Woodbridge, scoring from 3 yards out, giving the Blue Raiders an early 7-0 lead. Later, Terrique Riddick would get a handoff near the goal line, get stripped but fall on the ball in the endzone for Woodbridge’s second touchdown.

The Blue Raiders went on to take a 20-0 lead at half, and would score 26 more points in the second half, to push the score to 46-0. The Blue Raiders will have a tougher matchup next Friday, when they travel to Polytech (0-1).
