Woman arrested at Dover spa on prostitution charges

A New York woman is facing prostitution charges, after she was apparently linked to illegal activity at a Dover massage parlor.

Delaware State Police say a citizen complaint to the Delaware Department of the State Division of Professional Regulation, prompted an investigation, which started on September 23. The citizen was apparently concerned that there was possible prostitution happening at The Spa, on South DuPont Highway, in Dover.

On Monday, Detectives sent an undercover Trooper into The Spa, where he asked for a massage, during which, he was reportedly offered a sexual act by 58-year-old Bao Juan Mu, in exchange for money. Police say the Trooper refused the prostitution, and left the establishment.

On Tuesday, Investigators returned to The Spa, and searched the premises, where they say they found evidence consistent with prostitution activity. Mu was taken into custody without incident, and issued a summons for prostitution. She was later released pending a future court appearance.
