Wicomico County addresses kindergarten overcrowding

The Wicomico Board of Education announced Tuesday they have heard the complaints from parents about overcrowding in kindergarten class rooms and have come up with a solution.
Four new teachers have been hired and will start October 1.
Fruitland Primary, Westside Primary, Pinehurst Primary and Prince Street will all get one new kindergarten teacher,cutting class sizes down by an average of six students.
For parents worried about the bonds kids have already formed with their teachers and fellow classmates the boards says they’re working to make it a smooth transition.
47 is told each school has room for a new kindergarten classroom and that an instructional assistant will be moved from elsewhere to work with each teacher.
