UPDATE: Two hurt in serious motorcycle crash

Delaware State Police say two people are hurt after a serious motorcycle crash that happened near the intersection of Coastal Highway and Hudson Road.
According to police, the crash happened around 7 p.m. Friday when 27-year-old Lewes woman Amanda McDonald was traveling eastbound on Hudson and stopped at the stop sign waiting to cross over Coastal Highway southbound lanes.
Police say 54-year-old Wilmington man Kenneth Tarburton, Sr. was operating a 2008 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on SR1 in the right lane approaching Hudson Road.
McDonald apparently failed to see the motorcycle and proceeded into the southbound lanes where the motorcycle struck the left rear of her car, ejecting Tarburton and his passenger.
Tarburton was airlifted to Christiana Medical Center where he was admitted in critical condition. Police say his wife, Elizabeth Tarburton, was transported by EMS to Beebe Healthcare where she was admitted with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
McDonald and a juvenile passenger were reportedly transported to Beebe Healthcare, where they were treated and released as a precautionary measure without injuries.
Police are continuing their investigation into this incident.
